Search for a head spa near The Woodlands and you will find the term used for everything from a longer shampoo to a full scalp treatment. At Bonjour Belle Salon, a head spa means our Scal(pH)acial rituals: private, multi-step scalp facials offered at our Woodlands West and Woodforest salons. This guide compares each ritual, what is included, how long it takes, and who it suits, so you can book the right one for your scalp and your schedule.
What is a Scal(pH)acial head spa?
The Scal(pH)acial is our signature head spa ritual. Think of it as a scalp facial, a scalp treatment, and a head massage in one appointment. It blends Japanese shiatsu and Ayurvedic massage techniques with Shirodhara oil and Hydrodhara waterfall therapies, and it finishes with a cleansing Yume Head Bath.
Every full ritual begins with a microscopic scalp analysis, so your specialist can see what your scalp needs before treatment starts. From there, each Scal(pH)acial includes:
- Red light therapy
- Shirodhara oil treatment
- Stimulating scalp and neck massage
- Ultrasonic nano mist infusion with aromatherapy
- Deep scalp exfoliation
- A deeply penetrating hair mask
- Hydrodhara waterfall therapy
- A carbon-filtered sensory head bath
- A hot towel
- Leave-in treatment and scalp toner
Inside the head spa room
Our private head spa is lined with Himalayan salt blocks and kept fresh with ozone air purification. Every Yume Head Bath uses clean, fresh water that is never recirculated. Instead of steam, we hydrate with Takara Belmont Micro Mist technology, which is gentle on the hair cuticle. Rituals use organic OWAY and Davines products.

Botanical Renewal Scal(pH)acial (60 minutes)
Botanical Renewal is the full Scal(pH)acial ritual in one hour, focused on boosting circulation to the scalp. It is the natural starting point if you have never had a head spa. Note that this ritual does not include a blow-dry finish, so plan your day around leaving with damp hair, or ask about adding a blowout when you book.
The Reset Targeted Scal(pH)acial (75 minutes)
The Reset includes everything in Botanical Renewal, plus a targeted protocol that removes buildup from the scalp and hair follicles and helps rebalance oil levels. It is designed for guests dealing with dandruff, an oily or dry scalp, clogged follicles, or itchiness. If you are under a doctor's care for a scalp condition, keep your dermatologist informed: the Reset is a salon treatment, not medical care.
The Signature Relaxation Scal(pH)acial (75 minutes)
The Signature Relaxation includes everything in Botanical Renewal, plus a basic facial, a hand treatment, and an eye mask. Choose it when relaxation is the main goal, or give it as a gift. Gift cards work at both salons.
Mini head spa: a shorter option with your cut or blowout
If you want head spa time without booking a separate ritual, two of our styling services include a mini head spa:
- Mini Headspa Haircut & Style Experience (from $150): a mini head spa followed by a haircut, blow-dry, and style.
- Mini Headspa Shampoo & Blowdry Style Experience (from $135): a mini head spa followed by a blow-dry and style.
For either one, you choose your ritual: the Kérastase Chronologiste Ritual for nourishment and vitality, or the Shu Uemura Izumi Tonic Strength & Shine Ritual for strength and gloss. Both mini experiences include an extended scalp massage, a heated eye mask, and a waterfall shower rinse, and you leave fully styled.
How to choose your head spa
- First head spa and want the full experience: book Botanical Renewal.
- Buildup, flakes, oil, or an itchy scalp: book The Reset Targeted.
- Treating yourself or someone else: book The Signature Relaxation.
- Need to leave styled, or want spa time with your cut: book a mini head spa experience.
Still not sure? Book the ritual that sounds closest. Your specialist reviews your scalp analysis at the start of the appointment and tailors the ritual to what they see.
How often should you book a head spa?
We recommend a Scal(pH)acial every 4 to 6 weeks, or as needed. If you already visit us on a regular schedule for color or cuts, booking your head spa on the same rhythm makes it easy to keep up.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a head spa and a scalp massage?
Every service at Bonjour Belle includes a relaxing scalp massage. A Scal(pH)acial goes much further: it starts with a microscopic scalp analysis and includes exfoliation, oil and waterfall therapies, a hair mask, and a full head bath.
How long does a head spa take?
Botanical Renewal takes 60 minutes. The Reset Targeted and Signature Relaxation rituals take 75 minutes each. A mini head spa is added to a haircut or blowout appointment.
Does the head spa use steam?
No. We hydrate with Takara Belmont Micro Mist technology instead of steam, and every Yume Head Bath uses fresh water that is never recirculated.
Will I leave with my hair styled?
Botanical Renewal does not include a blow-dry finish. If you need to leave styled, ask about adding a blowout when you book, or choose one of the mini head spa experiences, which finish with a blow-dry and style.
How much does a head spa cost at Bonjour Belle?
Starting prices are $145 for Botanical Renewal, $160 for The Reset Targeted, and $295 for The Signature Relaxation. Mini head spa experiences start at $135 with a blowout and $150 with a haircut.
